Strategy and evidence go together like a horse and carriage – you can harness their power by understanding the broad range of “evidence” and its critical role in decisions, negotiation and persuasion. And then put into action using striking and convincing messages with simple visual outputs.

Who is this training for?

This training is for anyone who:

  • Has, or hasn’t, had a revelatory moment about how evidence can transform the way we work – and wants to know more about the great sweep of evidence and how to exploit it.

and/or

  • Having understood the value and meaning of evidence wants to be able to take raw information and, at speed, create insight, compelling messages and striking visuals.

What is the aim of the training?
Day 1: To bring a radical and practical approach to using the broadest sweep of evidence (quantitative, qualitative, gut-feeling, big data, observation) to the strategic heart of your work.

Day 2: To equip you with the skills required to take information/data and, by understanding the power of evidence, transform it into insight, messages and visuals that will enhance your strategic decisions, negotiations, research and persuasive power.

What will you will learn?

  • How to take everything we see, discover, investigate, know and feel into a structured framework and handle it as evidence
  • Why evidence and strategy are so deeply linked and form such a powerful combination
  • How to treat evidence and analysis with the proper respect and disrespect
  • How to embed evidence into strategic situations
  • How to select suitable data/information to operate on
  • see the detail of Course Content for Day 1: click here

  • How to take raw information and manipulate it quickly and simply to make it easy to analyse
  • Simple analytical approaches that reveal insight and ‘hard to guess’ conclusions
  • Presentation of data
  • How to talk about evidence and how to use the results of analysis to back that up
  • How to choose and create quick and compelling visual evidence
  • see the detail of Course Content for Day 2: click here

You will leave the course ready to apply immediately a new perspective on what you do every day. You will be equipped to think about evidence in a practical, strategic and creative way and be able to do some practical, valuable, quick turnaround ‘dirty hands’ manipulation of information.
